Announcing our Inaugural Open Mic Night!

We’re buzzing to let you know that our very first NUWA Open Mic Night is just around the corner – and we’d love you to be part of it!

Luther’s Bar (Downstairs) Tuesday 17th June 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Whether you’re a dab hand at performing or just fancy giving it a go, this is your chance to grab the mic and share something special. Here’s the craic:

Names from a Hat – We’ll be pulling names at random. Each reader gets up to 5 minutes to shine. We’re hoping to hear from ten people, with a quick breather halfway through.

Performance-Only Night – This isn’t a workshop – it’s a night for voices, stories, and a bit of magic.

Trigger Warnings? Up to You! – They’re not a must, but if your piece needs one, feel free.

Kindness is Key – Bring your boldest and most heartfelt, but there’s no room for anything nasty or discriminatory.

So bring your best, your weirdest, your most wonderful – and let’s make it a night to remember!

We already have a number of readers lined up, but there’s still time to request a slot – so don’t be shy!

The deadline to sign up is Sunday 15th June at 5pm.

We can’t wait to see what you’ve got – and if you just want to sit back and enjoy listening, that’s equally fine. It’s going to be class!
